About Espacios Naturales y Desarrollo Sustentable A.C.
We founded Espacios Naturales y Desarrollo Sustentable A.C. (ENDESU, the name translates as ´Natural Spaces and Sustainable Development´) in October of 1995. Our mission has always been to conserve, restore and promote the sustainable use of natural resources in Mexico.
From the beginning, we set out to put-together a team that would leave its mark on the state of conservation of Mexico´s natural resources. We have always strived to be recognized for our commitment and professionalism, for our capacity for innovation, and for being a capable and reliable partner- willing to work as a team for the sake of Mexican ecosystems.
24 years on, we have developed more than 250 projects throughout Mexico, aided by a wide array of partners and donors. Our results are visible in thousands of hectares of conserved and restored forests, rainforests and wetlands. Likewise, in actions that have resulted in the recovery and monitoring of endangered species, work carried out with landowners for them to use their natural resources sustainably. The integration of environmental education in every one of our projects means that the results of our work last and consolidate over time.
